Universal Academy prohibits discrimination, including harassment, against any student or employee. Discrimination is defined as treating a student, group of students, or employee differently from similarly situated individuals on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, gender, national origin, age, disability, or any other basis prohibited by law and provides equal access to the Boy Scouts of America and other designated youth groups.
Additionally, Universal Academy does not discriminate on the basis of sex (including sexual orientation or gender identity), in its education programs or activities, and is required by Title IX of the Education Amendments Act of 1972 and its implementing regulations, not to discriminate in such a manner.
The requirement not to discriminate in its education program or activity extends to admission and employment. Inquiries about the application of Title IX may be referred to the Universal Academy's Title IX Coordinator, to the Assistant Secretary of the U.S. Department of Education Office of Civil Rights (OCR), or both.
