As we approach Spring Break next week (March 16-20), we want to take a moment to thank you for your continued partnership and support of Universal Academy. Your involvement and encouragement play an important role in the success of our students and school community.

We hope that you and your family enjoy a safe, restful, and enjoyable Spring Break. This time allows students and staff the opportunity to recharge and return ready to continue the important work of learning and growth during the remainder of the school year.

We would also like to remind families of the following calendar updates related to the Bad Weather Make-Up Day:

• ‍Friday, April 3 will be observed as a holiday, and there will be no school for students or staff.‍
• Monday, April 6 is no longer a holiday. This date will now serve as the Bad Weather Make-Up Day, and all students and staff are expected to report to school on this day.

Universal Academy has partnered with ELTS Foundation and CJ’s Legacy to provide your child with an unforgettable Spring Break experience. Over the past six months, our students have worked hard and earned the opportunity to relax, recharge, and have fun. What better place to do that than at CJ’s Legacy Ranch in Argyle? This beautiful 98.8-acre horse ranch offers the perfect outdoor classroom where children can learn, explore, and enjoy hands-on experiences in nature.

Students will be transported by bus from the Universal Academy campuses in Irving and Coppell, departing at 6:45 AM.

Upon arrival, students will enjoy breakfast based on their individually selected menu choices. After breakfast, they will be grouped by age and introduced to the exciting world of ranch life.

Each child will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of engaging activities, including farming, horseback riding, fishing, and outdoor games. Students will also observe horses being trained and shod while gaining insight into equine performance and care. Throughout the day, children will experience the benefits of “unplugging” from technology and enjoying eight hours of enriching, hands-on outdoor activities.

Lunch and an afternoon snack will be provided before students board the bus for the return trip to campus. The bus will depart the ranch at 5:30 PM and arrive at campus by 6:00 PM. Parents are required to meet the bus promptly. Please note that late pickups may result in removal from the program, and all fees are non-refundable.

Universal Academy will be closed from Monday, December 15, 2025, through Monday, January 5, 2026. We encourage families to use this period for rest, renewal, and time spent together as we prepare for a strong start to the second semester.

Universal Academy is excited to introduce the Live Tracker, a new tool designed to help you stay informed about your child’s transportation in real-time. With the Live Tracker, you can:

• View your child’s bus location in real-time on a map
• Receive updates on estimated arrival and departure times
• Get alerts for delays or route changes

This tool provides added peace of mind and helps ensure a smoother and more reliable transportation experience for your family. The live tracker will be available once school starts on August 11, 2025. The tracking system will allow you to access real-time updates through the Live Tracker and stay informed about your child’s transportation status.
