Ms. Freeman performed “No Ruby” by Andy Beck, and Ms. Henriquez sang “Se Tu M’ami, Se Sospiri” by Giovanni Pergolesi. Both singers will now advance to the UIL Texas State Solo & Ensemble Contest in Austin, Texas, May 26-28, 2018.
Universal Academy – Coppell High School Choir members Amarissa Dowell, Ceniya Freeman, Mariaelena Henriquez and Zendy Jaimes received a 3-Good Rating for their Girls’ Quartet’s performance of “My True Love Hath My Heart” by John Rutter. This is a very challenging, Level 1 work, and we are very proud of their first effort in this event.
This has been exceptional year for the Coppell Campus’ first-ever High School Choir. Fifty percent of the group were selected by audition for the Regional choir this past fall.
Their choral director and accompanist is Mrs. Beverly Heather, MA.
